Project Manager will be responsible for the management of larger electrical construction projects ($1 million and larger). This will include but not be limited to the following primary responsibilities:
-Project planning
-Supervision of Foreman and field crew.
-Material management and release of materials per schedule
-Overseeing tool and equipment rental
-Monitoring and reporting on construction progreess
-Pricing and recording change orders
-Work closely and effectively with Owners/General contractors and agents as needed and attend/direct meetings as needed.
Project Manager shall have Pre-Construction Phase duties that include:
-Preliminary evaluation of project and budget
-Set up Project in Viewpoint
-Will schedule and attend meetings with Company team members and owners reps to:
-evaluate site
-manage materials, bldg. systems/equipment
-evaluate and review constructability/prefab.
-evaluate labor and material needs
-establish time fram to design, procure and construct
-formulate a project schedule and update as needed
-identify fast track constrution opportunities and applicability
-make appropriate recommendations to owner to correct excessive estimated costs vs. earlier budgets
-cultivate and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships as appropriate
-project manager shall advise on long lead time items that may need to be procured in advance of all else and be responsible for purchase and delivery of all material.
-review all drawings and specifications meet all necessary rules/regulations/codes required.
In Construction Phase the Project Manager will:
-Administrate and manage all work performed by others as established by contracts and purchase orders resulting from receipt of bids and Owner/Construction Manager acceptance
-Will aqttend and/or conduct weekly construction progress meetings
-Maintain proper daily logs and reports to owner.
-Maintain cost control system that tracks and accounts for variances and review with field supervisor and corporate department manager.
-Oversee, insist upon and maintain proper safety on project site.
