This company is a major producer of specialized nonferrous cold rolled metal sheet products. The current opportunity is located in the St Louis, Missouri area.
Anticipated base salary is in the 160-185K range. Potential incentive pay may add an additional 5-20%. Excellent benefits and relocation assistance.
Optimize manufacturing planning and control across plants - integrating existing practices into a company wide system.
Develop a high performing team to maximize flow velocity and customer service; minimize constraint centers and inventory levels and achieving world class performance.
Lead production planning teams to implement best practice manufacturing planning and control systems, methods and metrics.
Develop a manufacturing planning and control organization to apply APICS concepts for daily execution and long-term development.
Ensure “best practice” systems are in place to address: demand planning, inventory planning, material and production planning, customer order management, scheduling and sequencing and lead time management.
Develop and oversee Master Production Planning systems that will be the basis for utilizing plant capacity effectively.
Implement demand vs. capacity balance methods, manpower level forecast and execution, resource prioritizations for engineering, continuous improvement, maintenance, and quality that address mill products level priorities.
Develop a high performing team.
Ten + years of production planning and control experience in the metals industry, (steel, aluminum or similar).
BS / MS in Engineering or Business Administration.
APICS certification in CPIM (Production and Inventory Management).
Experience leading continuous improvement and transformational change.
Experience with SAP / MRP integration and execution.
A background that includes both staff and operating experience is preferred.
