Why is it black dogs always seem to have some Lab in their genes? I guess since I must too but I think there are additional and equally endearing qualities to discover. Labs love everyone, to the point of not being at all discerning. I love but only after careful evaluation and determination as to a persons character. If you ask me, theres more than a trace of cattle dog. I say that because I am reserved. No leaping and licking everyone who comes along. And, Im careful with my space, sensing I should be looking out for all around me and taking care to be certain things are as they are meant to be you in your favorite spot and me in mine. It was a stroke of good fortune that got me here for I was dying in a yard, trying to give birth to puppies. Brought in quickly by kind people I had an operation which saved me but my babies did not live. It was sad and even though it was long ago I do know about that. I have been given a second chance at life. Hopefully you understand how grateful I am for that and how it means I am blessed. Now it is my turn to pay it forward and I want to bless my new human family by being an amazing pet. Lets warm up to each other and see what happens!
