There was a previous adoption in my life. Who could resist a natural beauty? They loved me but it didnt last long as they thought I would move in and become their best pal, all cuddly and playful. That didnt happen. The good news was they had a 7 acre fenced yard. The bad news was I ran and ran and ran and they could not get me to come to them. Darn but it felt good! Just the same, I ran for a reason I was scared. Oh, not of them, no. But of everything that was going on new people, being a little rushed, uncertain of my new home, not sure how to behave or what was OK and not OK. The ideal home for me will have a small fenced yard in which I will be comfy and get my exercise. My new family needs a quiet setting, must have patience and loads of understanding about how timid I am. If theres a happy and content lead dog already in the house I think Id listen to his or her advice. Let me get adjusted, get used to your way of life and knowing that youre fine with me, just as I am. Give me space to come out and be Lady Sadie and I promise you I will do all I can to surprise you by returning your love and warming up to you. It just takes time.
