Dan Dee Patches aka Patches, was a stray found in rural Gordonville, part of Cape Girardeau County. This youngster was so good natured that when Jim and Kim Lynch has known since she was only 8-10 weeks old. A neighbor of theirs found her dumped at the end of the lane where the Lynch family also lived and then the neighbors “thought” they found a home for her. Then they learned the “home” took her to the local kill shelter. AS is the case so often, people who say they want a free dog don’t really care about the dog or really want the cute puppy when it grows up and especially in the chewing stage of puppyhood. So it was not long before Patches was in need of rescue again. Jim and Kim Lynch are devout Christians. When they learned of Patches plight, they went to the shelter and gave her “rescue” once more. Jim and Kim have had Patches for several months. They also have two active but older smaller dogs and a family with several small children. They don’t need another dog and have been trying to find Patches a home since her rescue. Patches is now over a year of age and is over the puppy stage, but is still playful and always so happy. She was tested Heartworm negative and has been kept on prevention while in their care. She is up to date on shots and well fed in their care too. Patches plays with their other two dogs and their children. She has been around their house cats and been well mannered with the cats. Dan Dee Patches is pretty active and some of the Lynch children are pretty young, so she is a lot for the family to manage at this time. She needs a family with time to train her and give her more one on one time. She is also the alpha dog in their pack and yet she is submissive to humans. She is crate trained and seems to be housebroke but is not in the house very often. Simply said, Dan Dee Patches needs a different home that is more suited for an active female that is also an alpha. Her adoption fee is set low in hopes we can find her a great home in short order. Please tell your Pitty friends about this beautiful dog.
