Scottish Terrier Scottie - Gus - Medium - Young - Male - Dog
Hi, my name is Gus.
I am about 3 years old and considered to be a Scottish Terrier/Wire Haired Dachshund mix. As a young pup, a tragic accident occurred, leaving me with one eye. In February or early March 2013, I started to develop some allergies. I may have to remain on a hypo allergenic or grain free food (which is conveniently priced and easily purchased at local pet retail stores) for the rest of my life. Regardless, my foster mom says I have got a great spirit and a tremendous amount of perseverance. I've got my one eye on the prize-to find that one person or family that is going to love me forever. To help me accomplish this, she has helped me complete a Beginning Obedience class. I am also completely crate trained. I have not had any accidents in my foster home but am not guaranteed to be housebroken.
I am good with children of any age and I love other dogs. While I like cats, I play a little rough for them to enjoy having me around. So, a home without any feline friends is necessary.
A fenced in yard is preferred. An apartment with an interior entrance wouldn't be so bad either. I don't bark a lot while you are away, making me an ideal candidate for apartment life. It would be wonderful to take long walks together. Just thinking about all the exciting adventures we could go on makes my tail wag.

Oh and before I forget, my adoption fee is $100.00. I have been neutered, microchipped, fecal/heartworm tested-both negative-(along with any medication prescribed by our vet), and brought up to date on all vaccinations. I am also current on flea/tick/heartworm preventive.
